I have to repair my M6600 Windows 7 system.
Would it be advised to restore to the factory option or perform the clean install instead?

    Thank you in advance.

I usually download the latest drivers from Dell, store those on usb and then do a clean install. On Windows 8 I just use the 'Refresh' button.

Thank you for your prompt response.

Would it be to easier to just restore system to the factory setting using Dell backup and Restore utilities and then update drives and removing the software coming with the system (antyvirus, office, etc) I do not need?
I am afraid I am still able to mess something during Dell updated drives manual install.

How much is the performance impact using clean install or restore to the factory setting option?

I would like to install 2nd ssd and do a clean install of Windows 7 on it resulting in dual boot. When everything works fine I would format the first ssd deleting the original boot-up. Would that work? Is there a better way of cleaning everything and do a clean install? I think I need to buy a new copy of windows 7 anyways. Thanks.
