After entering the service tag number, notice that you'll have 2 tabs of drivers. Hit "All" and u'll see all the drivers/applications.

And yes, the list was confirmed by my Precision tech.

I think it has more to do with installing application USB 3.0 monitor.

@Toray, thanks, I saw the other for all the M6600, but the ones for my service don't cover the basic needs nor are the right ones for my specs...

Anyway it seems they are doing an update on web support, but it's been more than 2 weeks that they started and is still a mess.... Hope they solve it and improve it too

@M-Z It may actually occurs that windows 7 doesn't support USB 3.0 properly. Still I have a SSD drive connected via an USB 3.0 case and I keep seeing the old familiar message "this device could go faster if connected trough USB 3.0... " [update: solved after new driver reinstallation]

I've spent much more time installing drivers than I'd have liked, so I'm sure this will be useful for some. Built upon first post in this thread by Toray, but with several changes and additions.

M6600 Drivers 1 to 9b + List& Templates - Minus.com (rtf resumed list and excel list+template, and drivers 1 to 9b -except number 4-video card which you can get here NVIDIA DRIVERS 285.62 WHQL )

    Drivers 10 y 11 - Minus.com (drivers 10 and 11)

    Drivers 12, 13 y 14 - Minus.com (12 to 14)

    Ge.tt | M6600 Drivers 15 to 25 (Drivers 15 to 25)

It contains the complete drivers installation process with notes and all the drivers mentioned with the same name and number clearly indicated.

I can't attach excel or rtf files, so I'm posting here a partial screenshot of these files which are the complete and shorter version of the installation process. The Excel version not only contains more notes but it is helpful as a template for you to fill and check your driver installation process.

It is specially made for M6600 with IPS panel and nVidia but check my configuration for some particularities you may have; it should serve most of you.

Current Dell drivers support web doesn't have or indicate the the right drivers even (specially) if you filled out your tag number, and in some other cases you just won't be able to download some of them (hope they solve it soon but it's been like that for more than 3 weeks).

Comments about the list order or anything that could help us to have a more reliable or smoother clean installation are wellcome..

    Hope it helps you

Is it possible to get a switchable graphics card driver for ATI M8900?

I know it's a little late, but to others wondering: The M6600 has a standard 9.5mm "ultra-slim" SATA optical drive, and it can be removed pretty easily; you should be able to replace it with whatever you like. Note that regular 12.5mm "slim" drives will NOT fit.

That said, I've been looking around and the only BD-RE drives I've found that meet the bill are the Panasonic Matshi-ta UJ-232 and UJ-242. ("Matshi-ta" doesn't really have a hyphen but if I take it out the language filter kicks in...) There's a Lenovo drive out there as well but it's really just one of these models rebranded. It's actually hard to beat Dell's price of $400 for the upgrade; however, if you don't care about the Blu-ray burning capability you can probably find a drive for under $200.

    No.

I see them on ebay for ~$150 all the time. I'm a bit miffed I have a slot load, I'd have to find a bezel as well if I wanted it to match.

In case someone just wants to see the list and/or discuss the installation order, a simple version. Again this is for those with IPS panel, nVIDIA card and a standard configuration (see below details of my config) , but seeing the additional information in the excel file I linked to previously you could figure out if you need/want the driver or not.

Also you could only install until 10 or 11 if what you want is the minimum possible stuff. The order is not always necessary but it is certainly simpler to follow this than to figure out what you could avoid...

Does anyone know why we can't use Intel integrated graphics with the IPS panel? Could that change later on with newer drivers or is it a hardware limitation? (I have reposted this question here: M6600 Owners Thread - Page 303 where it has been answered)
