If you are free would you like to post your GPU-Z. I was very interested and immediately replaced my m6400 with 5000M

    Hi there.
I took out from my basement my old M6400.
    Mine comes without video camera.
What components and part number do I need to upgrade it?
Does the lcd housing on the none video camera version have all the cables needed?
    Thanks in advance
    Cheers

What do you want to upgrade in particular?
Probably it doesn't. Try check out if you have this cable going under the keyboard

I assume you have to buy a new display cable somewhere as they come as 1.
What's your display panel? Does it have just one 40pin connector?

    Hallo.
I have a no webcam lcd,I just want to install the webcam module for the M6400.
I am aware that I have to change the LCD bezel.Aside from that I have no idea what else is needed.
    Thanks

Hello guys, i'm planning on to get a m6400 covet, and after (too) many months of research, i've finally found one :
    https://www.ebay.fr/itm/17-Dell-Pre...317837?hash=item46b362f5cd:g:CdoAAOSwn0FfOnsJ

But it's missing : HDDs, HDDs caddies, battery, power adaptor, dvd drive ; and there is a bent in the exhaust grill.
(also i will swap the keyboard for an azerty backlight if possible)

Do you guys think it's woth it ? or it would it be economically stupid ?
    I already have 3*4gb of ddr3 laying around and a qx9300.
But i plan to upgrade it to a m7820 too, so will my 180 watts power adaptor (of my m4800) be enought for testing ?
i later want the qx9300 to be running at least 3Ghz, so maybe a 240 watts will be needed ?

thanks in advance (and sorry if my english isn't perfect)

Do you have the same cable that is shown on the photo?
Can you look at the back side of the LCD panel and find the panel name on the sticker there? What's written there?
Good option compared to when buying everything separately.
I haven't done a proper power consumption test, but I recommend you to get a 240W power supply

Will the m6400 charge a non dell battery ?
Although think i can get an oem power supply for a reasonable price (local market) ; but for the battery, i don't really want to pay 150$ for an oem one. Do you know any good third party brands ? (if they work ofc)

If they are selling the battery for M6400, then it should work well
