You should be able to put any SATA interface 2.5 hdd in your second bay. I put a seagate 500Gb in mine. Very easy to do.

Any 2.5 inch drive that fits bay one or any other laptop will fit fine. 9.5mm is the thickness limit on drive one and probably drive two also. But so is every other laptop on the market. It'd be cool if they had it set up so you could put a 3.5 incher in bay two cause it seems like there's enough room (though I haven't measured or anything) Just a suggestion but the 60GB (or is it 80GB?) Intel MLC SSDs just aren't all that more expensive than a spinning platter and if you use drive one for the OS only it'll amaze you. Mine came with two 320GB Seagates and I swapped out bay one with my SSD which is a tiny 64GB that's less than half full since I moved My Documents elsewhere. That's just an opinion though, the Seagate drives are quite fast themselves, for a platter anyway.

this is a bit of an old issue, but recently my 6400 has started to spin up the CPU fans a lot more. I've dropped off the base, and blown the dust out (gently), but no change.

Could a few of you tell me what cpu temps (I'm using core temp 0.99.5 to measure) you get at? My cpu load is around 10% on both cores of a T9400.

Any input ,much appreciated, as I'm concerned the thermal paste has dried out or something similar!!

Oh and any recommendations for a small app to 'test' the webcam under Win7? :)

    Cheers.
