    Hi Tanis64,

The M6400 has the capabilities to do this, according to the M6400’s Manual
If you need Adobe Reader, on this Download page you Select your Operating System and your Language.

Click on the Dell Technology Guide, for the PDF. Then Scroll down to fourth + sign Expand,
Navigation Devices (Mouse, Keyboard, and Touch Pad) then Expand Touch Pad

And Click on Single Finger Zoom. See Screen Shot:

    I Hope This Helps

    Hi
I have installed the M6500 driver on my M6400 but there is no tab for single or multifinger Gesture.

So maybe in the M6500 is a newer Version of the Touchpannel with a differnet Hardware ID which the driver can't recognize.

    regards
    Christopher

I've used WinPatrol Plus for years and it's well worth the 30 bucks for the Plus version over the still very good free version. Starting Jan. 29 at midnight EST (US time) you can get it for .99 cents (something like .70 Euro) for 24 hours. It's well worth it. http://www.WinPatrol.com

    New M6400 owner here :D

Silver QX9300, 8GB RAM, dual 320gb drives, E2E LED - got a great deal at Dell Outlet. System will arrive by the 1st.

I apologize in advanced if this is posted elsewhere, but is there by any chance a 'getting started' thread or FAQ for new 6400/6500 owners? I am also curious if anyone can also recommend a nice laptop bag.

Looking forward to gettin to know y'all.

Congrats and welcome! I use the last generation this one:
    http://www.brenthaven.com/catalog-prostyle-bp-xf.html

Has a hard plastic internal shell that gives great protection. It fits like a glove and the pack is comfortible to wear.

Sometimes the Jog Driver crashes on the M6400 which not happens with the original driver, so i guess there are differnts between the jog pad in the M6400 and in the M6500 so i switch back to the M6400 Version

    Regards
