    oic. me at N9 now.

*** USB 3.0 update, the laptop USB 3.0 ports doesn't like my USB 3.0 stick. It only runs at USB 2.0 speed. I connect a USB 3.0 hub to the port, then connect my USB stick to the hub, and i get USB 3.0 speed. zzz... what kind of funny problem is this.

Does anyone find it absolutely useful to have the fingerprint and smartcard reader on M4600?

You should ask yourself whether you really need it. I did not include that feature because I am sure I do not need it and I am perfectly fine without that.

dell's fingerprint implementation is really crappy compared to on the thinkpads....as for the smartcard reader, it depends on your network security requirements. when i do consulting jobs for certain companies they will not allow me to use my own equipment to connect to the network unless i can scan the contractor ID or etc.

    iieeann & afhstingray,
Many thanks for your quick and useful comment. If that's the case, I'll cancel the fingerprint & smartcard reader.

but one thing you might want to think about is the fingerprint reader does come in useful when you're logging on in public....like when you have someone sitting next to you you dont have to worry about them seeing your password...but if its an expensive upgrade, its probably not worth it
