Just be sure to enable AHCI in the bios... also, u can use lhe HDD lock screw (the small black one) to fix the Soda Creek in the msata slot.

    Worked fine for me :)

If you're a member of Ideastorm, feel free to contribute to my idea:

IdeaStorm | M4600, a step forward but also a step backward

Hopefully, Dell listens and will help implement at least some of the following ideas. Special thanks to all those that have commented about the M4600, especially iieeann. If I've missed anyone else who believe they deserve credit, I apologize and would like to thank you as well. I'm not here to promote anything or gain credit from this, just wanted to make sure that Dell knows its strengths and weaknesses from a user point of view.

I just removed my optical drive and slid one of my older HDD caddy's right on in, doesn't lock on the caddy lock obviously, but could probably easily enough use the lock bracket off the ODD, it needs a different facia that isn't angled like the earlier ones to match this model, but hey, a 9.5mm HDD fits in fine.
See pic of 2 x 500GB HDD and one mSata in expl.
I'm annoyed I spent money on an intel 310 now

So with all of these power profiles, is there any way to automatically change them when its on battery power and when its plugged in? For example, "Ultra Performance" when its plugged in and when it's not, it'll automatically switch to "Extended Battery Life"?

I have to say WOW! The IPS Display is awesome. Its is as nice, if not better then my Dell Ultrasharp 27" U2711 IPS diplay.

I too retrofitted my hard drive into my tray loading DVDRW.

    Very impressed by this system.

The one thing I HATE. Is the size of the power adapter. Any slim adapter out there?
