I ran unigine heaven 2.0 and 3dMark 2011. Got these results

    Heaven
Setup: 1920x1080, 4xAA, Shader: high, Texture: high, Filter trilineal, Anisotropy: 4x, Tessellation : normal

    standard clocks : 412 points
    overclocked (880/1300) : 554

    3dMark 2011
    Setup: peformance (1280 x 800)

    standard clocks: 2189
    overclocked (800/1200): 2680

    My rig is : Precision M4600, i7 2620, 8gb 1333, no ssd.

With respect to ATI/AMD bugs, you are right. For example I was looking for a feature similar to that one in Nvidia drivers which allows to increase the refresh rate of LCD (in my case I had it from 60Hz to 80 Hz) . I found in Catalyst application "LCD overdrive" and thought it was the same thing, but when I activated it the screen began to flicker all of a sudden. I had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers because the problem persisted no matter I switched the feature off. Definitely Nvidia drivers and software are miles away from ATi in terms of reliability and robustness. Sadly Dell spare parts would charge to me the outrageous price of 750 € for the K2000M, so I bought the M4000 which was more reasonably priced at 250 €.

Well, my unit with IPS has the screen tint problem. I didn't know it would be that noticeable! The bottom left corner and middle left part of the screen really have a strong blue hue. It is very distracting.

Are they all like this? For me the whole point of getting this laptop was getting the IPS screen. Anything else I can do?

I have a Dell IPS screen and a Lenovo with IPS, and they don't have anywhere close to such a problem. Something is really warped with this.

I want to do this. Granted Im super happy with the 5950 and my triple LCD setup, but being able to to do 5 LCDs and a bit more power would be awesome.

Yeah I was glad to see the "cheapest" gpu option was the strongest. Fortunately for me I havent had any issues or bugs with mine and it has run my 3 LCD setup for quite a few months flawlessly at work and home.

I contacted Crucial support and they recommended trying it in another bay if possible or "This problem has been seen in some cases from a spin-up delay/power-on delay set on the drive on a BIOS level; if such an option is available in your BIOS, try adjusting or disabling the delay to see if the problem is fixed as a result."

I couldn't find a setting in the BIOS and, bizarrely, the problem went away after about three weeks.

It was every other cold boot, a restart wouldn't trigger it. But even if the power was only off for a few seconds the laptop wouldn't recognise the HDD when powered back on until powered off and on again.

the same Mushkin drive in my other desktop did the same thing - fails to be reconized from time to time - its going back a second RMA now

Yes it can work at 1600mhz with 32GB.

Just to confirm that I installed 32GB 4x8 1600mhz Geil RAM and it is working fine at 1600mhz in dual channel on my m4600 even though Dell Say it will only work at 1333mhz in this configuration.

Part number for the RAM I have is GS316GB1600C10DC
    PC3 12800 1600Mhz
    CL 10-10-10-28
    8GBx2x2

My Bios is a11 if that helps.

    Cheers

Has anyone tried or aware if this model will house the Dell Bluetooth 380 card being Bluetooth 4.0?
