IPS Dreamcolor Screen alone hardly meet EIZO SX series or even NEC P seriies performance. I would suggest you to opt for economical solution of 15.6 WLED Panel with extra budget for external monitor instead of high end laptop panel.

Hey guys, I just purchased a m4600 and am wondering how much of a difference of if I will even notice the omission of this feature:

NO INTEL VPRO TECHNOLOGY ADV MGMT FEATURES

Besides that I got everything I wanted besides a slot loading DVD drive.

    1920x1080 display
    Core i5 2540M
    AMD M5950
320 GB HDD (though I just realized its 5400 RPM)
    8 GB RAM

Watch this video to get a quick overview:
    What Is Intel vPro? Technology?

vPro is only significant to business users of the laptop, really. It is for remote controlling the laptop and simplifies remote assistance&maintenance and is also part of Intel's Anti-Theft technology. You didn't miss a big thing there. And because it is only the advanced management features that are unavailable to you it should still offer the native virtualisation support.

Interesting, thank you for the video. I really had no idea what it was.

Anyways I am upgrading from a Latitude E6410 to my new M4600. I really want a higher resolution screen than my 1440x900 screen that I currently have and the 1920x1080 really is an improvement. The only thing I am concerned about is the size and weight of this thing. I have never really been a fan on 15inch laptops but I do far less traveling with my computer than I use to so I don't think it will be much of a problem anymore.

Just FYI, Precision does not offer 5400RPM HDD's. That must be a typo.

I have a question, is the optical drive connected to a SATA III port? (Port 1)?

Or is it connected to like Port 3, 4, etc.?

Which coupons are available for Dell Business? (apparently only Dell SMB has the workstations)

I've been monitoring TechBargains, but nothing much shows up!
