    Well, I'm in Europe, Netherlands to be precise ;

    I paid € 3116 , which includes the 19% VAT for Dutch consumer electronics. The 5 year warranty was also pretty pricey at € 365.

    Gah! Sorry to hear. Mine is stable at 4/30/10 but I'm sure I'm not out of the woods. We'll see what happens.

    As long as your happy with what you get, thats all that matters.....for you.:)
    Personally, half an upgrade isn't ok when dell are making big claims and have obviously taken the money saving option, the elitebook FX1800m is looking pretty impressive from the couple of benchmarks owners have posted in the owners lounge, so I guess we'll just have to wait for you early adopters to share your findings on the M4500.

    I can't even get a price on the M4500 until the 14th and the elitebooks are on back order for up to 4 weeks......lots of hold ups on the new business models this year it seems

    Yeah, we'll have to see how it will perform in the programs I use ; Zbrush, Maya and Cinema4D. I think the GDDR5 wouldn't make such a big difference in these programs. ( I could be wrong though )
    Especially, considering the fact that each FX1800M is bound to 128 bit bus anyway. Am I going to game on this laptop ? Not really.

    Also, I think Dell learned some hard lessons with the M4400 ( just look at every M4400 thread here ) ; It's very likely the M4500 will correct the issues the M4400 had.

    That's the whole reason for using GDDR5, a more economical way than using a 256bit memory bus........more memory bandwidth, less power usage comparatively.

    Yes, mine just turned up as shipped too, less than two week lead time which is shocking.
    But then again its closely related to the mainstream e6510.
