    Kistebier,
Not sure where you are getting your information from but it is not correct. The SSD MiniCard and WWAN card share a location under the system. There is no other location for the MiniCard to go into, nothing under the palmrest. You can not have both the MiniCard and the WWAN card in the system at the same time.
    Sorry.

Fyi - mine showed pre-production for a week, but drilling into the order detalis showed in- production. That means your order has not been started, but they are not kind enough to tell you that. Could be a missing part, out of stock, or something similar. Best to call and ask for status or you might discover that date keeps slipping.

That's the typicall Samsung vs. LG thing. I had both M4400 screens here, and the Samsung looked warmer but the LG was sharper! Here's a pic (The LG panel on the left):

Will they be? I can't describe how incredibly frustrating it is trying to find a 15 inch laptop with a RGBLED screen!

I initially was going to buy a Lenovo W510 until I went to the site to see that they pulled the option.

Then I went to Dell and hummed and hawed about it until it was too late. I won't buy the XPS16 because of all the other issues with it.

The MBP is stupid expensive for what you get. i7 dual core only... no quad core option...wth

I talked with an Dell seller in USA and the sell the M4500 with SSD, WLAN, WWAN, HD, Modem & BLuetooth. You can configure a system like this on the USA webside from Dell.

So i have asked, where do the put the ssd card, when the wwan is still pluged in and the dell seller said, that they put a cable in the free precision flash on socket and on the other side of the cable is connected to the ssd. The ssd is placed under the palm rest.

So there are two possibilities. There is an error on the USA Webside and the Dell salesman is wrong or it is possible to install the ssd under the palmrest.

Someone of our forum tried to put the ssd card in the halfsize mini pci slot from the precision flash on. It sticks out but it have contact. So he switched the Precision on and went into the Bios and the card is recognized. So it is possible if the is a cable and space under the palmrest.

Who knows? I think, only time will show.

    regards,
    dirk

Do you want to hear another joke?

I kitted out a M4500 on Dell.com for a total of $2404... then went to the Dell.ca (canadian site) and kitted out the exact same specs and they want to charge me $3521 for it! The exchange rate canada/usa is par ! They must think we are retards up here.

Check out what other country's pay also [aus,nz, asia pacific], I pay over a $1000 USD more for the same thing also [basic model], dell is bending everywhere else in the world over, so they can subsidize super cheap prices in the US, it's always been this way, but there's a ridiculous disparity now.
They need to address this, haven't they heard of the internet or something, you can't do things like this now days without someone noticing.

Well... I hate to give Apple props but... if you go to their website Apple.com and Apple.ca . The price is more or less the same give or take $20.

Dell should put away the glue they are sniffing.
