/\/\ you mean that HP is actually using the GDDR5 version?

I can hardly contain my excitement, my system is in production. Estimated for towards end of April delivery, I am hoping for faster.

Just thought of a question, I want to get a displayport to DVI adapter. Is the displayport going to be a mini displayport or full size? I have no real experience iwth display port

    edited to add:
What does an "e-port" look like. I might get a port replicator rather than waste time with adapters and what not. How does the machine go in the replicator?

Dell offers the 1800M, with DDR3. Apparently, HP offers a version with DDR5, unless that's a typo in HP's specs.

I'd like to order up a notebook cooler (unless you guys think it's unnecessary). I've got my eye on the Antec

    http://www.amazon.com/Antec-Notebook-Cooler-USB-Powered/dp/B0000BVYTV/

One of the reviews for the cooler says
Do you guys think this will be a good pic for the m4500? Other suggestions? Would this work in conjunction with a port replicator?

    Merlin

I'd recommend the E Port Plus

I've got one for my E6400.
(about to order the M4500 or the W510)

/\/\ Thanks Anvil! I was looking at that very one. How does the computer mate with it? The pictures on Dell's website are terrible. The one you attached is better. Is the port on the bottom of the computer?

I imagine you can't use this and a notebook cooler?

You can't use a cooler with the E Port.
There is a connector on the bottom of the E/M series laptops, neat and easy to connect/release.

I've outlined the connector for you :)

Thanks pal. I'll have to give it some thought.

Does one need a cooler or is the precision cooling robust enough on its own?
