vertex 2 is quite a bit better than the intel; tests showed the sandforce controllers to surpass intel both in random; sequential and copy speeds in almost every single benchmark; additionally vertex 2 is almos 3 times faster in sequential writes and the controller is superior to intel as it has much lower error rates

in depth review of the SF1200/1500 controller (they're both the same speed wise as OCZ gets a special firmware for the 1200 controller): Anandtech Vertex 2 review

PS: Vertex 2 is NOT offered in 256gb flavors; you semm to have a vertex 1

I believe the 81WH one is supposed to have longer lifetime.

I second that the 90WH will wear faster and need to be replaced more often.

    Some thoughts on the m4500.

    1. I don't care for the 1920 x 1080 resoultion - what is the reasoning behind this?

    2. The glossy screen isn't an option for the FHD screen - I'm already missing the one I had on my m4400.

    3. The core i7-820 is very fast. I encoded a dvd last night and it's quite a sight to see all 8 threads running at max load.

    4. The touchpad is much much better than the m4400 - multitouch gestures could use a bit of refinement but they do work well enough.

I don't think so. I could swear there were four kinds of display for M4500 but now I see only three. The rgb one is missing.

Yes, the list of displays went from 4 to 3 a few days ago.
