I have Core i7 640M and Quadro 1800M. Idle of both were around 50C. I am not sure how to measure it exacty - temperature moves up and down depending on vent. I run prime95 about 1 hour and cpu maxed on 78-82C (at the end of the test, it has been staying around 65-70 with seriously working vent). GPU maxed on 78C during 3dmark06 (and I received 7515 points). How do you stress both? Run prime95 and 3dmark at the same time?

One more problem appeared with this UEFI boot: cannot recover from hybernate. Windows request to delete the hybernate file before it can restart.

Do I undestand correctly that, in general, if a hdd is configured to be UEFI booted, it cannot be booted in Legacy mode, and vice versa?

    - Im assuming you tried to restore to the default settings? I am not 100% with your question about the the HDD settings but i use mine at default (whatever that is).

    - Furmark is a program that will stress the gpu. it is like prime 95 basically.
I would just suggest that you run both at the same time and see if your laptop will throttle (just a standard check - your computer should be 100% find though).

    Dellienware,
I have run the default stability test of Furmark 1.8.2 together with the Torture Blend test of Prime95 for about an hour. GPU max tempereature was 78 and it stayed pretty much always there, like between 75 and 78. The CPU core temperature were asymmetric (even though the load was 100% on both). The cores #0 and #2 reached max temperatures 73 and 77, respectively, but at the end of the test they had been changing periodically between 55 and 65.
What do you use for GPU overclock?

Guys, what are you using to measure GPU temp? I use Speccy but it only measures Core and Disks temps.

I use cpuid HWMonitor (http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html). It is nice and it is 64 bit.

Thanks, but when I checked this out the advice from the MacAfee siteadvisor is that it contained a trojan.... I am a touch paranoid.

This one screened clean by McAfee and 43 virus scanners:

VirusTotal - Free Online Virus, Malware and URL Scanner

This site screens downloads with 43 different virus scanners. Looks like my GPU and CPUs are running around 60 at light load.
