Yeah, it's normal, I'm guessing. Like the jump from A03 to A06.

Hi, guys. I have a few questions. Can you help me? Recently I ordered a Precision M4400 system with 1 GB of RAM. I plan to upgrade with 4 gigs. I wonder if my new computer supports DDR3 1066 RAM or not. In theory the Montevina platform supports DDR3. What do you think? Also, is the video card integrated into the motherboard or is it an independent module like MXM or similar? Another question, do you know why DELL doesn't offer WSXGA screens with Precision M4400? I asked WSXGA resolution to the seller but told me that DELL couldn't provide WSXGA screens with Precision M4400 Previous versions of Precision had this option but now you only can choose between two extremes: WXGA+ and WUXGA. I suffer from astigmatism and despite like high res screens thought WUXGA would be too much for my eyes. I consider a mistake to not offer WSXGA screens because its the prefered resolution of many people .

I can only answer one of your questions... The M4400 does NOT support DDR3 RAM - only DDR2. While the platform may support the RAM, the motherboard does not.

Indeed...no DDR3 RAM. Don't know why they stopped making WSXGA available, they just don't. The GPU is placed on the mobo in the same way the CPU is for instance, don't know if that's what you mean by an independent module.

It's built in and no you can't remove it like the 1710/1730 or D810 it's fixed on the MB.

Well mine is on ebay at a good price I think.
