Make sure the heatsink is tightly in contact with the cpu after installation. Probably it overheats and the machine turns off.

Lately I've been having with my screen freezing randomly.
It seems to appear when I've left the computer on for a few days.. then everything freezes. mouse cursor doesn't move. etc
after several minutes, the screen turns blank and the bottom flickers.. here's a video of it

What do you think is causing it? I ran memtest.. memory seems okay.. I ran HD Tune.. doesn't seem to have any bad sectors
    I'm on Bios A26

Just a guess, but I am thinking something with the video card.

Which model do you have, the FX 770M or the FX 1700M?

I've just rebuilt my old m4400 with Windows 7 Ultimate and all latest drivers from Dell website and the user I've given it to reports that the touchpad freezes, it's done it 3 times today and can only be fixed by a reboot. Left and right click buttons still work. Any ideas?

And does anyone know where there's a list of Fn hotkey combinations, the "Setup and Quick Reference Guide" doesn't give a clue, or which the combination is for the touchpad.
