    A message says:
Precision 7730 will cancel the bottom E-Port DOCK interface
This space will be used in exchange for more powerful cooling
Especially i9-8950HK, TDP up to 100W……

Booh. Where does that message come from? Any hints on the release date of 7730?

Too bad, to loose working hardware like my Dock when going for a new laptop

Yes, I also feel very bad!
I used to compare the M6700 and the 7720. After connecting to DOCK, the 7720 was no longer perfect.
    Now 7730...

That's a real shame. I feel sorry for any professionals who actually need a good mobile workstation as there are barely any good options left (ie something with robust and upgradeable hardware, lots of I/O etc).

The only reason I ever desired the dock was to actually be able to use all the Video outputs on my laptop. Im guessing that may have changed in later models but on the m4600 I can only use 1 external monitor, even with optimus where the Intel HD was active I was still limited to 1 external monitor.

I used a USB 3.0 monitor to get around this

Docking is was one of the big pluses of Mobile Workstations. With each passing generation the gap between mainstream and pro fades, sadly not for the better, yet prices are sky high as always.

Can you tell me which is the keyboard that you are using? Thanks!

Been expecting this since new Latitudes have also lost that port. Fortunately, Thunderbolt dock is working pretty good for us now, a bit pricey though...

TB16 is lousy. The keyboard is about 10 seconds late to respond after welcome screen is up, waste of time. Gsync can't passthrough DP port. Need additional power adapter (7720) which is very troublesome.

e-Port is still the best, it is the reason I still stick on Precision.

Absolutely! E-Dock works flawlessly for ages and is really just a one connect solution.
