Used the advanced driver search to get all options. They also released a new R460 driver a few days ago.

Newer isn't necessarily better. I recommend sticking with the Dell driver until you are sure that the system is stable (and in general unless you have specific need for improvements from the later versions, or are using the system for gaming).

Anyone having weird screen dimming issues with their 7760? I have the 4k screen and it randomly dims to what looks like 50% brightness and it won't undim on mouse/kb activity. I have to use the F keys to lower and raise the brightness so it resets.

    Might be adaptive screen brightness
(I can't find the adaptive screen brightness in settings or bios)

This is what I was thinking too but also cannot find the setting associated with it.

EDIT: Hmm, I think ti might be the built in Proximity Sensor, it was set to lock screen etc when I walk away. Will disable and see if that fixes it.

EDIT 2: Yep, it was the proximity Sensor messing up the screen. Random dimming, artifacting and strange refreshes. The switch for it is in the DELL Optimizer.

    Throttling problem in i9 CPU.

Could anyone who has i9 do the same test to see if this problem happens? I haven’t seen this problem in my 7560 with i7.

I see windows 10 has an option to force an app to use the discrete graphics card. Has anyone used that and if so, any issues? It is under Graphics Settings.

Also, here is a screen shot of the Graphics Settings in the bios. I am going to turn on the Direct Graphics Output.

I've used the Windows 10 option. Seems to work fine. I've usually use the NVIDIA control panel for setting which GPU to use though.

"Direct graphics controller direct output mode" sets external GPUs to attach directly to the NVIDIA GPU. One step away from turning hybrid graphics off which would also attach the internal display to the NVIDIA GPU.

(Note — If "direct graphics controller direct output mode" is OFF, displays attached to the rear HDMI and mDP ports will still attach to the NVIDIA GPU. It really only affects displays attached to the USB-C ports, via dock or otherwise.)

I've noticed minor issues when running in a configuration that has displayed attached to BOTH GPUs at the same time. For example, stuttering in full-screen video if the video is running on a monitor attached to a GPU that is different than the one that the Windows "primary" monitor is attached to (I guess it has trouble syncing up the refresh rate or something?). These days I just run with hybrid graphics off and that is generally my recommendation for those who rarely need to use the system on battery power.

    Did you watch the video???
The clock was down to around 2.6GHz in the stress test.

Is it a “problem”? It’s probably hitting the PL2 limit.
