After some testing, Dell offered to ship me 2 'other' TB-18DC's. Yes, two; I originally ordered two and both have the same issues. I'm a bit sceptical that this is the solution, but let's try anyway.

I had no more keyboard stutter with TB18DC after I disabled the C states in BIOS (using current 1.3.7) for 1 1/2 days now. Maybe you could try that as well.

I hope you don't mind but I edited your post to make the image smaller. Just so you know with imgur when you click on an image to get the link there is a section on the bottom right that shows different size options. When you click on those it adds the appropriate (for imgur) letter to the end of the picture name. For instance on your picture I changed the url to include an "L" before the .jpg which changed the size to a "large thumbnail."

I noticed your GeForce 1080 Ti in the Task Manager screen shot there... Is that Thunderbolt attached? How is it working for you?

    I will try that, thanks!
It's not the only problem though; in 8 consecutive tests (each dock 4 times) I only a single case where everything worked. 6 out of those 8 tries, the power delivery didn't work...
I also tried a WD-15 dock, which can only supply 100W of power. All 5 tries with the WD-15, it was correctly identified as an 'insufficient power supply' (that means only capable of charging when the laptop is consuming less than the dock can provide and otherwise working as if battery-powered).

Dell is also sending me a replacement TB-18DC. I am having issues where my CPU is throttled down to 0.80ghz when plugged into the dock. If I supply AC power directly, it doesn't throttle at all. I also started seeing the stuttering issue with the latest firmware, but disabling C states has also made that issue disappear (thanks SvenC!). Good luck with your replacement docks!

if you get 7730 with Intel Core Xeon E-2186M, Six Core Xeon 2.90GHz, 4.80GHz Turbo, 12MB 45W processor, then there will be no space for 2.5 HDD as it comes with 6 cell battery.

Good to hear. I am planning to buy something similar - i9 8950hk precision 7530. Looking forward for your benchmarks.
If possible, please add suggestions to this thread.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have a URL where this is referenced? I ask as I Received a quote from Dell with this processor, 2.5" HDD and the 4-cell battery so want to ensure this setup is possible. Thanks again.
