I'm more interested in using Linux than Win10, but will purchase 7530 with Win10. I would want to install ArchLinux, any known issues?

I stopped reading here, because my heart stopped here. Ten grand for a notebook? Man, I wish I were rolling in that much cash.

I could get a desktop with a Threadripper 2990WX, beastly cooling and specs for that sort of cash...

I have the Timbuk2 Breakout Case and it fits nicely, is strong and lasts for many years but I do not like the handle when carrying like a suitcase as it is at a funny angle. I actually prefer the Dell backpack which is well made, looks good and everything fits nicely.

My issue with the dell backpack is that it's got a Dell logo on it. That's like a big flag saying "look here! Laptop inside!". I had ordered a XD Design Bobby XL, which is completely neutral and anti-theft. However, despite it saying it's for 17" laptops the 7730 doesn't fit at all.

The logo is quite discreet and just a different shade of black so that one would have to be stood right next to it to read it. Also, are thieves really going to look at a backpack and think about the brand or label?! The Timbuk2 is very well made and sturdy but I do prefer the Dell, the pouch in the back pocket is perfect.

Don't know if that backpack fits your requirements but my 7710 fits perfectly into a Osprey Stratos 34. Since that backback has no laptop compartment I use a seperate sleeve.

Edit: Don't think anyone has a clue I am carrying a laptop in that backpack :p

Yup. I use a Briggs and Riley Verb 2. My 7730 fits beautifully into the well-padded laptop compartment, and there is a ton of room for that whopper power brick, mice, whatever. I have traveled around the world many times with this guy, not a mark on it, despite using it as a pillow, footrest and generally shoving it into very tight spots.

    BIOS and RAID Options

I am looking to upgrade current Dell m6500 to the 7730 and want to know from members who have the 7730 if one may order with one hard drive (mechanical 2.5") and then later add (3) Samsung 970 2TB NVMe M.2 drives. I've seen vendors in the past where BIOS initially disabled RAID unless you order it with RAID and a set of drives. In my case, I need the laptop to have as much storage space as possible and why opting for 2.5" that I will replace with a 4TB SSD 2.5" along with the (3) NVMe. My thinking is put the 3 NVMe in RAID 0 (I backup and use RAID 0 with current M6500). I'd rebuild and place the OS on the RAID 0. Lastly, would order with the Intel Core Xeon E-2186M, Six Core Xeon 2.90GHz, 4.80GHz Turbo, 12MB 45W processor. I use the M6500 for many VMs in a lab so looking to replace with this since supports a great deal more memory than 32GB using now. So, possible to order without RAID and then add drives and enable RAID via BIOS? Also, is one able to RAID 0 (3) NVMe if all 3 identical within the BIOS? The virtualization software will be VMware workstation which I use and have been using with M6500. Any limitations or lessons learned? Thanks!
