I used the two left slots (above the 2.5" slot) -> no difference.

    Regarding Ubuntu install:
This information was useful. Installed Ubuntu on second NVM with success.

it is very easy, just make sure your screw driver is proper size since the screws are very soft. also make sure you remember which size screws go to which position. need a bit patient removing the plastic frame of the keyboard but still pretty easy. the bright color medal cover of the ram slot underneath the keyboard is kinda flexible so typing at the center of the keyboard which above the ram slot sometime cause rattle sound. you can stuff a thick paper or something there to fill the small gap to eliminate the sound. good luck.

Thanks. Do you have RAM in those slots too? Does it still rattle when you type even after you filled the SSD slot and the RAM slots in that area?

Fwiw, Dell usually fills the slots beneath the keyboard first. So if you're only adding two additional sticks of ram, rather than replacibg what's installed, you won't need to get under the keyboard.

I did put rams inside. but yes the rams are not thick enough to suppurt the keyboard so when I press hard, the medal cover still collides with other parts, so I just put a paper card there to fill the gap and it works great. some Ram have thicker stickers on it which should fill the gap.

True. I will be taking out the one stick that I bought it with and inserting four sticks of RAM so will need to do remove the keyboard. From the manual it looks a bit more fiddly than with the M6600 but should be straightforward enough. Thanks.

OK, thanks. I bought HyperX so if they are not thick enough I will put my name card there if there is an issue. Cheers.

Received my 7530 today. Worked perfectly but when I plug in the earphone the sound still come through the microphone. Solved it by uninstalling and reinstalling the realtek driver and a reboot. Now it's perfect. Still not used to the feeling and layout of keyboard from my old Thinkpad T430s, especially the left ctrl and fn buttons.

Are Linux issues also present if running OS as a VM (with VMWare, VirtualBox,...)? Thanks

I ordered my 7730 with a single 8GB stick of RAM, intending to put my own in. Does anybody have the brand/timings of the 8GB memory that comes preinstalled?

    Thanks all,

    John
