How did you format the SD card? I'm wondering if it needs to have a partition table written to it before it will be bootable. Most cards are formatted with no partition table (the OS assumes one partition that spans the entire drive) but it doesn't have to be like this.

    Hi !

Is there here anybody who can help me in finding real specs of this pre-assembled Dell notebook ?

    It's called "Dell Precision 7530 - 224TT". It's for italian market.

The only official Dell document about this i was able to find is the following:

    https://comparison.dellproductbrochure.com/it/product/50

So according to this, it has p3200 as gpu.

Unfortunately lots of italian online stores, on their "view full details" section, report quadro p2000 as gpu. Only few report "p3200".
And i don't think this model was first sold with p2000 and then with p3200 (or the opposite).
I think it does not make sense since the model name hasn't changed. Always "224TT".

An official italian dell reseller who has always reported "p3200" as gpu for "224TT", few weeks ago edited the "224TT" overall specs section and now even they are reporting "p2000 4 gb" as gpu.

I was able to contact them via email and they told me that their specs are official and correct.
But that was also the same answer thay gave me when they reported "p3200" as gpu ....

One webstore i was able to contact even mentioned that the specs listed on their website might be wrong since they're automatically loaded from a system called "icecat" (never heard before) and so they have no fault in this. So i guess this may be the case for all the other online stores as well.

And again: there are stores who report "p3200" and others who report "p2000" (most of them).
And the only official dell document i was able to retrieve reports "p3200" (but at this point may also be wrong).

    So lots of confusion.

Of course i'm interested in "p3200" but if i purchase this "224TT" and then i find out that actual gpu is p2000, i cannot send back to the reseller and ask for refund because notebook was already been turned on (there is no other choice to see real gpu then switching it on and use software like hwinfo).

I would definitely need someone who works or knows anybody who works for dell european marketing department i suppose.

Chat on italian dell website only works if you have already purchased a notebook from them and you're asking technical support for it. And in order to enter the chat you must specify the serial code of the laptop..

I even tried dell uk online chat but they had no idea.

I really hope someone can help me.

Maybe you can receive the laptop and then ask Dell support what GPU it has based on the service tag (printed on the bottom label) without turning it on.
How are they going to know if you turned it on? You can enter the BIOS (F2 key, without booting Windows) and the GPU will be listed in the info screen.

I just tried changing the URL that you sent, down one to 49, and see that the model with Quadro P2000 is listed as 7RJY8. Similarly, 48 gives you a model with Quadro P1000 (TMYKP). Going above or below that gives you different model Precision laptops.
    https://comparison.dellproductbrochure.com/it/product/49
Also the CPUs are different between the different models, that could be a point of comparison if they really do only sell three different configurations.

I think that's a pretty strong case for 224TT having the Quadro P3200. But I can see any number of reasons that it would get mixed up as the systems moved through the supply chain if resellers don't pay close attention when entering the products in or paying attention to the actual differences between the different models...

Anyone have a problem with keyboard flex in their 7730?
My 7710 does not have it, but the area around the 9 key, and the Fn keys on top in the 7730 feels flimsy when I type, and breaks the flow when I'm typing. Should I get it checked out by dell warranty people?

How is the build quality of the Zbook 17 G5? Particularly the keys? I had the option of getting that, but I went with Dell as I've always had Dell.

EDIT: Does the Prosupport plus service include accident damage? I purchase Prosupport and accident damage, and just prosupport plus would have been less expensive!

Do you have the backlit keyboard or the regular one? I haven't noticed this issue in my 7530. I do have the backlit keyboard and in past systems people have mentioned that it is a bit more solid.

    Hello everyone.
I have got my another precision 7730 a few days before and after this I can share my new experience in comparison with the old defective one.
In the new one all is OK and this machine is very pleasant to work on it. I fell now like I have got a quite different machine with other price level than previously.
    Beneath my scores:
    1. Chasis - 10/10
    2. Keybord - 9/10
    3. Speakers - 8/10
    4. Efficienty after upgrade RAM and 2x970 EVO - 10/10
    5. Screen quality (marvelous) - 10/10, Backlight - 8/10
    6. Fans and temperatures - 7/10 and 9/10 after undervolt by XTU -125mV (fans still standby during office work and films).

So its look like the previous one was something like accident in the work and I still stay with the dell brand.

By the way I have one question about Intel XTU - what should I do to keep my profile settings after system reboot? Now I have to always turn on XTU after reboot, select my profile and apply settings - then i can quit XTU and all works in backgroung. I will be appreciate for helpfull answer because I haven't found nothing on google to works propely on my 7730.

I never got XTU to keep its settings after a reboot on my system. I switched to Throttlestop and it works better in that regard imo.

    Hi !

After some searching, i've found out this 7530 "service tag" on ebay:
    https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/l70AAOSwJzpcXLEN/s-l640.jpg
(unfortunately really small description on the label. Neither cpu nor gpu details are reported so the "service tag method" looks to be the only chance.)

I entered it on this webpage:
    https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04

then went to "system configuration" and clicked on "components" under "original configuration" section.

At this point i clicked on "show all" and searched using keywords like "quadro", "card", ...

    With "card" i've found this----->N18P-Q1, DGFF2

    I googled that "n18p-q1" and found out it's a P1000 (i've found this reference after i've discovered this "HP ZBook 17 G5 Nvidia Quadro P1000 4GB GDDR5 N18P-Q1-A1 DAXW3UB4AA0" on ebay).

Now question is: Is every dell notebook delivered with such label attached on the box where the "service tag" is always specified ?

If so, do you think i can ask the online store to look for a "224TT" unit in their warehouse and check the "service tag" using the above procedure ?

Or i can do it by myself (if they are not allowed to do it) once i received the notebook and eventually send it back and ask for refund if it turns to have wrong specs. Right ?

As far as i know, if "N18P-Q3" is reported then "224TT" has P2000.
    If instead "N18E-Q1" then it's P3200.

Or (and that's my biggest "fear") entering the "service tag" will somehow automatically start the "nbd 3y warranty" despite having never opened the box ?
Remember that "224TT" is a pre-assembled dell new laptop so it's not like when you order it from the dell website where you can customize it in every aspect.

    Hope you can help !
