Yes i'm using 2x8GB Kingston HyperX Impact modules running @ 2400Mhz in my Precision 7510, they work perfectly.
Full Specs of the RAM: http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX424S14IBK2_16.pdf

I don't really like the Corsair modules z31fanatic referred to, it's true latency is quite a bit higher than my Kingston modules, although I would like to have my RAM running @2666Mhz if (true) latency is acceptable.

z31fanatic, thank you for pointing that out. Actually, newegg was the first place I looked at. And for some reasons I have failed at their parametric search.
DodgerQ210, your choice does look like the best there is right now (based on true latency figures). I think I will buy them as well.

Are you certain about that? The moment I turn down my brightness, I start to feel eye strain, similar to when playing a Nintendo 3DS with the 3D enabled. According to notebookcheck, they detect the flickering @ 90% or lower, at 200hz. See here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-G501VW-FY081T-Notebook-Review.163403.0.html (I do have the 104 model, but they report the same with the 102)

I tried to find that auto-dimming option, but was unable. It's almost as if they removed it, because I remember it being there at one point. Either way, the laptop was plugged in when I experienced it.

Thanks for the info on the different qualities of the panels. I'll have to see just how grainy the AHVA panel is. With calibration, hopefully the white color won't be an issue either.

DodgerQ210, can you make a print screen of a running CPU-Z program? Like this one. It would allow us to confirm that your RAM modules are not downclocked and running at their full potential.

I mean this panel with part number - SDC4C48
Model with part number - SDC324C uses PWM across almost all brightness levels.

I second this. The Kingston Hyper DDR4 sodimms work great in the m5510, m7510, and m7710. Run at 2400MHZ CAS 14. I just ordered some of these 16 GB DDR4 ECC sodimm modules from Adorama:

    http://www.adorama.com/ct2k16tf824a.html

Its a 2x16 kit for $184.... About a $40 premium over the Kingston Hyper 2x16 kit. I will see how they work.

After doing some homework, I purchased an AU B156HAN01.2 panel. It might arrive around the end of the week. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. Interesting, this might be a newer offering from them.

I've done a quick check and can't seem to find a place to purchase this panel. Do you have any suggestions?

I think this is the model of panel, but I'm not sure 100%. The latest figures that were 201 or 101 ?? Perhaps a different revision. Unfortunately, part numbers you will see it when you install.
    Here mention anything.

Helpppp! So I installed the latest BIOS, 1.04.14. It installed successfully, per the message in the BIOS installer. Then it restarted. Upon restart the screen is just full of random color blocks, like there's a video card problem.

I tried taking out the battery and holding down power to clear settings, with no luck.

I get no screen besides then, as soon as I hit the power button it goes to what appears to be a corrupted graphics screens. I can hit power again and it will turn off. The only keys that have any function are the brightness keys which work.

Has anyone else run into this and do you have any ideas on how to fix it?

Edit: So, I found a different model precision that has same issue with an older BIOS, and their solution worked for me. I wish I knew what caused it so I could avoid it in the future. Basically, I had to blindly change a BIOS setting by entering key strokes to disable switchable graphics as per the following link.
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...ns-press-release.782179/page-74#post-10224632

Edit 2: I tried turning switchable graphics back on in the BIOS after the system was booting properly, but I again got a graphics problem. This time the screen stayed black instead of the colored snow effect. I was able to follow the same procedure of hitting F2 at boot to enter the BIOS and have a few lines of BIOS visible through which I could navigate with the keyboard to again turn switchable graphics off so my machine would boot. I'll attempt to downgrade the BIOS now and report this to Dell.
