Glad you guys posted this, I upgraded to latest bios and my computer is completely dead, I reset the CMOS battery and unplugged it a few times, it just shows a bunch of colors when you boot up

I was able to recover from the colored snow by repeatedly hitting F2 at boot until you could see the BIOS behind all the snow. The screen remained with the colored snow, but you can see in the attached photo there was about an inch of workable screen. With that, I went to the BIOS, used the arrow keys to go to the Video option and then expanded it to rhe switchable graphics option and disabled switchable graphics. Once Video is highlighted, expand the tree and highlight switchable graphics. Then, the keystrokes to disable switchable graphics is as follows:

    TAB
    ENTER
    TAB
    TAB
    ENTER
    ENTER
    ESC

That should then restart with switchable graphics disabled

I'm going to try that too. I'm in chat now with support and have the same SNOW screen after they told me to try to reboot. They are dispatching someone out tomorrow to replace my mobo, but I'm going to try what you just did after I get off the chat call.

I should be receiving my new 7710 later this week. Obviously, I'm not upgrading to the new BIOS until these issues are fixed. What is the most recent STABLE version - Feb 2 or Feb 29 release?

    that worked! unbelevable.!

Now how to I get back to using optimas switchable graphics? Chat support is amazed at this. lol, especially your solution.

They asked me to try running the 1.3.12 update to reverse whatever the 1.4.8 did

Then I will try to re-enable switchable graphics.

is it worth trying to load bios defaults and then try turning the switchable graphics back on? If it does not work, then you can do what you did to turn it off. I wonder if downgrading the bios will cause an issue.

The pic attached showed as if you hit F12 at startup vs F2
