I was actually referring to the older WiGig dock (d3000 or something similar).

But I definitely agree that the old port replicator docks are great (and also cheap on eBay). I use one of those at work and have the wireless docks at home for super fast wifi in the two rooms I compute in most.

Again the fan issue: the P50 cannot use Optimus/Hybrid graphics on external monitors since the GPU is directly connected to external ports. Is this the same with the 7510? Since we've learned that fans wake up with the GPU this would mean that the 7510 is never quiet if using an external monitor (which I do 99% of my time)?!
    Thanks for your comments!!

The WiGig dock that you have (d3000 and d5000 - or any Dell Wireless dock probably) requires the laptop to have internal WiGig wifi card? I don't think those cards are available (yet anyway) for the new precisions. Reading articles about the older D5000 wigig dock, the radio card cannot be installed into the laptop later (only at the time of ordering the laptop). Not sure why, probably has to do with having to have a special case to accomdate the internal radio in the laptop?

Correct it requires a WiGig capable card. I believe installing it later isn't possible because of additional antenna wires required in the display panel.

Don't count on it being delievered 3/10. My order was cancelled. They seem to be having a hard time getting the TB3 models out the door.
