in reply to the last question: the effect is so big that if you are looking at the left side of the screen (with your head in a position to see the left side in front of you) the right part of the screen is dark. Often I work with an editor on the left side (1/4th of the screen) and the rest of the screen showing images. I work typing on the editor but I need to check the images, the effect is annoying.

The "meeting situation" is very usual for me and if I type on the laptop sitting down in front of the screen I need to take the screen at some appropriate angle, but people standing behind me or sitting aside cannot read the screen or see the features of the images. Never happened with my previous laptops, so never considered this as a possible issue, in particular after reading the definition "Wide View". I can understand that other users could be ok with narrow viewing angle (someone can also find it better, for privacy purposes) but the definition is misleading. For me, for my applications, for my usual way to work this screen is a big issue.

I have been using Dell laptops since 2001, and all of them are still on my office: none of the others shows this problem

I want to add a second high performance m.2 pcie 512gb with interposer but the $600 that dell wants is silly.

Does anyone have a link to an interposer that I can buy and add in my own drive? Or does Dell include an interposer even if I don't order a second drive? Thanks :)

As I have read no dell nor lenovo supply interposers/gasket/fillers for non ordered drives.

That is so weird because that is not my experience. I definitely do not see the drastic effect you are having. I have a hard time switching to the M6500 because the type looks so blurry (though now it's my desktop hooked to a 43" VIZIO), and the premier glossy screen on my 6300 looks so dull. I has an old Latitude D610 that had a 4:3 screen and definitely not in the league of the M6500.

I've found this on dell.com, on the spec sheet of alienware 15 r2:
    Display

    15.6 inch UHD (3840 x 2160) IGZO IPS Anti-Glare 300-nits Display

So, either this is a mistake or ips and igzo are not mutually exclusive categories.

IGZO is a type of transistor.

IPS is a type of display panel like TN.

    Both are not mutually exclusive.

Owners of the version with the Xeon e5-1535M v5 ... can you please comment on the temperatures that it reachs under very high load (stressing the CPU with prime95, cpuburn or something like that).

For how long is it able to run without throttling the cpu frequency?

No not a mistake, but a clarification on my part. It is very possible IGZO is used, as well as whatever common semiconductor material to create the IPS circuitry. And actually all these different circuitry, TN, IPS, are lumped under TFT.
