They just released 1.9.5. Haven't checked it out yet. Must have been some issue.

    I installed it this morning.

Other stuff : does anybody know how to get power saving for a NVMe M2 SSD running Linux ? I know that there is a patch underway but I don't know when it will be merged in mainline kernel. FYI I get 8.5 W with readable text backlight and no wifi, Ubuntu 17.04 (kernel 4.9) and Samsung 960 pro M2.

I'd like to add one more data point (although this is on the 17" version):

with GSM enabled, KVMGT fails to properly boot (it gets as far as sounding the welcome chime, but the screen remains black, keys don't work, etc.)
with GSM disabled, KVMGT boots successfully, I'm able to start a guest VM (with GPU virtualization) and only get a crash later (apparently, due to some window fully inside the guest's mapped/scaled display; partial overlaps seem OK)

    1.9.5 has been released.
I had some weird fan behavior with 1.9.4 were the fans would pulse about once a sec continuously. Sometimes even after a reboot.
BTW under 1.9.4 my battery went from 0% wear indicated to 3.4% using battery bar in a matter of a week or two. I've got the long life 91whr.
1.9.5 seems to have fixed the fan problems so far, but not happy about the fast battery degradation.

It's even worse today. It's now at 6.4% wear.

I thought Dell was shipping regular 91Whr batteries even to customers that ordered "long life" battery?

We've been over this earlier in the thread... There is a difference if you order the "long life" battery, you do get a lithium polymer battery and it does not have the "ExpressCharge" ability, but the label on the battery itself is confusing and doesn't indicate this very well.

And from official Dell Precision 15 7000 Series (7510) spec sheet:
So, all batteries are "polymer"? And "long life" is 85Whr?

So it looks like BatteryBar is reporting 85,158mWh for my battery capacity, but wear is reported as 6.4% of 90,995mWh. So I guess I'm still getting specified battery capacity as advertised, even with the wear. I definitely paid extra for the long life battery versus the standard high capacity.
