Possible GPU upgrade for Precision M4600

I'm on the fence about buying either a 8560W/8570W/M4600/M4700 and use it for gaming. Currently I have an HP 2570P which I upgraded, but is lacking graphical power due to its Intel GPU.

I see on both Dell and HP side that the gpu can be upgraded to fairly new ones. I also read that the HP has a bios whitelist which limits the gpu's that can be used, but for some reason there are still people confirming better gpu's work.

Doesn't the M4600 have a bios whitelist? Which of the two brands is best for upgrading the gpu?

 

As it stands I would probably get a m4700 just for the 965m but its also expensive.

Were waiting on news to see if the RX 560 works in the m4600 if it does then the value of the laptop goes through the roof probably since the cooling is better on the m4600 versus m4700 iirc

 

Thanks for your reply. I was able to get a M4600 for €150, while M4800 and their HP counterparts still sell for €250 and upwards.

I'd be willing to try out an RX 560 if I can get one shipped to Europe for a reasonable price. I see them on Taobao for ~$180 but I'm not yet sure if it's easy to buy there.

I'm semi-sorry to "dig up" the M5100 BIOS modding thing (again), but... I was wondering if there was any sure-fire way to mod it so that it does NOT show up as a FirePro card anymore.

The new features in the latest driver (Adrenalin 17.12.1) would be nice to have, and are allegedly enabled for all GCN cards (desktop AND mobile), but not for FirePro ones, apparently.
