    so is Crucial 1600 DDR3 ram the best fit for M4600?
    Can you put 32GB of 1600MHz ram cards on M4600?

    32GB works, grab the best 1600Mhz kit you can find and call it a day on that front.

    @John Carlson
    Max freq for RAM on M4600 is 1600Mhz (on XM CPUs it might be higher), but you can adjust timings via XMP profiles (which makes them operate faster and improve total system performance) and overclock 1333Mhz ram modules up to 1600Mhz (I have a tutorial in my signature). Max is 32Gb RAM, but who knows what will happen if you fill in 4x 16Gb dimms (yes, they do exist).

    I may actually try that on my ram, last time I panicked when it didn't work because I was finishing my term lol

    Ideally, all the RAM should use the same memory chips or at least from the same manufacture. Good thing is if there are XMP profile in ThaiPhoon Burner data base for the ram modules that use the same chips as yours or at least close to them. Also, voltage for XMP should not be higher than 1.5v, so that's why 1.35v RAM is highly recommended if you are planing to overclock it to the top of the world :D

    Well its too soon to call it victory but at least there all from 1 kit unlike my m4600, 4x4GB hynix or hyundae ram.

    Firstly I have been working on getting my vrm and CPU temps down but that's off topic for here

    I had 4930 previously on my Dell M6800 and I have to say, that 4930 is super hot with crappy OC and undervolt capabilities. I've found that 4910MQ is much better option, coz it can do 3.8Ghz undervolted while still having 47 max TDP, unlike 4930 do. So the best solution would be 4910MQ with Liquid Metal and max OC.

    For sure that's right but I have really missed over clocking CPU's lol besides I can hit 4.4ghz relatively easily. My vrms are the problem for me at the moment.

    I went back to regular paste for now because I want to lap the heatsink and add the pipes from the stock heatsink to the new aftermarket all copper one I purchased. Cleaning liquid metal is a royal pain lol

    My 4930mx runs 3.7ghz at 1v iirc which nets me a 750 r15 score. I also replaced the fan with a 10.4cfm fan as well. A bit loud for most but not louder than my box fan over my headphones. Last thing to do would be to splice a switch to bypass the pwm and allow max fan speed.

    I'm hoping to eventually be able to hit 4.5ghz, the thrill of the hunt!

    But yes, a very hot chip.

    @valuxin

    Weren't all the new amd cards dropping lvds support ? How would you get the RX 550 working? Some kind of software MUX?

    I'm thinking of keeping my m4600 even if no other GPU works lol, although I have my ranger now I still think the precision keyboard is better. I just gave the laptop new thermal paste and dusted it as well.

    Not sure what the point of the HD 7750 is when the m5100 is around.

    @TheReciever
    First of all, it's RX 560. IDK if my card have LVDS support (what I don't need), but it will be good for other laptops upgrade where Pascal is not possible.

    Yeah, M4600 is good machine and might be better if there there would be any possible GPU upgrade. Honestly, M5100 even overclocked is not superb for current AAA titles. I wish some kind of MXM Thunderbolt adapter existed (or at least just simple MXM to PCI-e). But let's hope RX 560 will work and will have LVDS support:)
