Possible GPU upgrade for Precision M4600

    Are you using radeon pro software or the relive crimson drivers?

    Its odd that you cant install the driver without it failing.

    Do you get any kind of errors or just stops?

    Well I download the appropriate drivers via the website, but I guess the package includes drivers for multiple cards. When I run the installer, it detects that it's a Radeon card and not the M5100. So it installs, but the wrong drivers. It doesn't give me any way to even manually select which ones I want.

    Just so your aware both will identify as m200x. I dont think Ive seen anyone report it as m5100 despite the fact that its a m5100.

    What kind of scores do you get in Unigine valley extreme HD preset? What benchmark are you using to determine OpenGL performance and is it free? so I might compare?

    does it support Ivy Bridge cpu? i have lying around there a i5 3360m...
    and as somebody states it will support that new gpu? pretty cheap on ebay
    which one is the best mxm for the panel 1366x768?

    So the w5170m works on the m4600? i ordered one with 1080p and the m5950,but as somebody wrote here the m5100 is ridiculously priced.

    Where is that hidden setting. Were you able to use 2133MHz ram on M4600?

    No, max RAM setting seems to be 1600 iirc

    You can plug in the settings but doesntseem to apply iirc, been a while.
