They ended up cancelling my order last night and making a new order before I could call. My new order has an estimated arrival date of March 17th, which is an entire month after I initially placed the order. Not exactly a happy camper at the moment.

I'm a bit worried about my 1st order as well... It's still "In Production" with delivery date 04/03/2016 - I really doubt 2 days is enough to deliver from China to the UK.

    @bee144 @oruvin

They may have delayed shipment to deploy them with the latest BIOS which was released a couple days ago on Feb 29 (Monday)

I still suggest calling them. Maybe the squeaky wheel will get the grease.

I'm waiting for mine to arrive. Be sure I will review. Strangely there are zero reviews of the 7710. One unboxing. But zero for reviews. I don't count notebookcheck as it is pretty vanilla and I don't think they "used" it alot/ We need users to review their machines.

Dell Precision 3510 - "In Production"

I ordered a Precision 3510 yesterday (Mar.3/2016) - Fingers crossed - this is my first DELL product.

It's a 3510 (basic Precision) but I'm excited about it and thought I'd share my experience with you folks anyway in case someone is interested in that unit.
I purchased with 30% off and my Sales Rep. also added 3YR. PRO SUPPORT ... So far - so good.

    Details - List: $2694.25CDN / After Discount: $1885.98CDN + Tax

    Basic Config:
    • Core i7-6820HQ w/ USB Type C Thunderbolt Chassis
    • 4GB RAM ... to be replaced with something else
    • 15.6" FHD IPS ... no Touch
    • 4 Cell 62W/HR Battery ... so I can install 2 drives
    • 500GB HDD ... to be replaced by ADATA SSD & 256GB Samsung 950PRO M.2 NVMe SSD
    • AMD FirePro W5130
    • Windows 8.1 ... to be replaced by clean install Windows 8.1PRO
I checked my 'Order Progress' about 3 hours later and it was shown as "In Production" w/ expected delivery of 03/15/2016.

Not many machines out there with TB port yet.
Mine's at Pre-Production now, with estimated delivery date of 21/03 (Ireland).
Once I get it, I'll post a quick personal review with a comparison to M6600 which is being replaced.

    Hi ygohome and thank you,

Yes I noticed that ... As part of my research, I started on Page1 of this thread and read every post and found almost no mention ... It's like the 3510 is the Black Sheep of the Precision family - Just kidding of course. :)

Thing is, since the 3510 is part of that family and shares a lot of the same features so I thought it would be helpful.
Good info on these machines seems to be scarce at this point and the best info comes from Precision owners themselves so I'll do my best to fill in the gaps or just add to the knowledge base.
