Interesting. It showed up on the US website. Not available on the Irish or Polish ones...
Still, I wouldn't trust the website. Ordering one would probably end up in cancellation like 2 weeks ago...

So you just need the secret passphrase? Yeah, nothing shady about that. So why didn't the precision product manager tell us this when we asked several months ago? He's commented in this thread a number of times. Surely, he must be in on the secret?

Also, I am not sure why your badmouthing System 76. I've owned an embarrassingly large number of laptops over the years. The Oryx is definitely one of the nicer ones (aside from a ridiculously large AC adapter). Unlike my M3800, I didn't have to reinstall the OS when it arrived. It arrived crapware free with the latest version of Ubuntu and has worked without issue since day one. My M3800 arrived with a defective screen, which needed to be replaced.

Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Dell's precision line. I've bought more than I can count over the years, but this release has been very disappointing for me and ultimately resulted in me buying a competing product.

ordered the Thunderbolt dock on Friday through our Dell representative at my job; she said they are readily available and should ship on Monday.

Who knows what is the speed of thunderbolt 3 ports on DP5510 now? Cause usb Type-C port has speed 20 Gbps/sec while Thunderbolt 3 port has speed 40 Gbps/sec and they are compatible (have the same port). But it is not clear what speed they offer with these laptops. They could have called usb Type-C with 20 Gbps/sec as Thunderbolt 3 which is my worry. Who can confirm speed please.

Second question - how many Thunderbolt 3 ports are on DP5510 - just one?

Third question - there are so many good Xeon processors which are far better than what they offer now (worst Xeon). And Nvidia graphic card could be way better than Quadro1000M for the price they are asking.

In respect to the above, wondering if they plan to sell DP5520 with improved processor, graphics and the number of thunderbolt 3 ports?

Dell's practice is normally to refresh these machines when a new generation of CPUs is available. I think that Kaby Lake is scheduled for late 2016, and it will be a few months after the CPUs appear before the updated Precisions launch. NVIDIA GPU will get a bump at that time (NVIDIA Quadro M1100M, or P1000M is Pascal mobile Quadros are ready). I doubt we'll see any substantial changes before Kaby Lake.

    I ordered a 7710 today. M5000M - IGZO UHD - 64GB - SM951 512GB - PM951 1TB - TB3 - Xeon - Win10 - 5yr Pro Plus Support

my 40% off coupon replaces the default standard 30% discount (so essentially a 10% off coupon).

I'll keep my M6500 around (ordered that back in dec 2009).

Hi @kalm , I was keeping silent until my order actually progressed from "processing order" to "production". It is now in production so here you go: SAVE40%WKS

This should be good through April 30 2016 and it should work on any Precision workstation (desktop or laptop). The coupon says it is stackable with "some" coupons, but when I tried stacking I couldn't get it to work.
