Had a chat with Dell rep, asking why UK version doesn't have fingerprint reader option and is win7 only, got a reply that in the US it was launched 15 days ago and only yesterday in the UK, maybe it becomes available later...

    Edit:
Is it possible to order from the US and be delivered to the UK?

I agree with the 7710 and 7510 being workstations, but the 5510 (the one I am most interested in) clearly is more mobile / untrabook like given its weight.

Dell-Mano_G: Another question, is the battery in the 5510 replaceable? As far as I can see you cannot replace the battery without opening the laptop (as I can with my M4600). But could I buy a new battery, open the laptop and replace the old battery? I am asking this because batteries have been the one part that I almost always had to replace during the lifetime of a laptop.

I checked the manual of 7510 and 7710 photos, I see that the CPU is soldered, am I right?[IMG]

I'm sure this has been asked before but is the keyboard and it's lack of a 'Home' and 'End' key a dealbreaker for anyone? It would be for me unless I could change the keyboard layout.

    Mano,

Some questions regarding the 5510 US configurations

    1. There seems to be a discount sale 30% off on these machines, any idea when this expires?

    2. The 6 cell battery is rated at 81wh, I thought it was the same as xps15 which is rated 84wh. The configurator did not flag conflict when I selected the 6C battery with standard 500gb HD, I can have both?

    3. Will there be more choices for wifi H/W?

    4. What model SSDs are used in these machines for 256GB?

    5. Are these machines released and ready to ship in the next 3 weeks?

Geez, we Canadians sure do get hosed when it comes to pricing. After comparing same configuration of 5510 on Dell US and CDN websites, after factoring in the currency conversion, there was a $1000 price difference. Any reason why? Same with the HDD prices, $300 mark-up.
The CDN version better be gold plated! ::sarcasm::
