Ok, so I will just use spyder 3 Elite to calibrate my U2410
    external monitor with my M6500.

I did find some information on this topic.
Photographic color spaces – sRGB vs Adobe RGB good article just started
reading it, so the entire range of colors represented by sRGB is included in the aRGB color space.

    s = standard a = Adobe, R = Red G = Green B = Blue and sRGB is shorthand for ANSI

I will get my head around this there is a lot of information out there on this but if you
can point me in the right direction to help filter out some of it would be appreciated.

    lol :)

    I work with Autodesk products Revit2010, 3DsMax etc… and
Adobe Creative Suite, I need the colors to be correct. I do not
need cartoon like renderings of my models

whats the reason it doesn't work?
differnet physical connector? not enough juice in the current available slice?
will a slice ever be supported?

    thanks

Please, please, please, anyone owning the WUXGA WLED calibrated could post here how color accuracy is, how it stands sRGB gamut ? How it renders ? What about color temperature, gamma ?
I have to validate my order on next monday to get benefice of coupons and I'm still not set on WLED or RGBLED WUXGA.

You probably are aware but you can get external packs that support all laptops:

    http://www.global-battery.co.uk/universal-external-laptop-battery.html

or for something with a over a days usage

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/2-Power-Universal-External-Longlife-Battery/dp/B000EBDBGU/ref=sr_1_44?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1264076312&sr=1-44

There seems like there are about 100 different products like this on the market, just found one for $1500 which would run the M6500 for 3 days :)

As for timing for the Gobi support for the rest of the world, all I can say is soon.

The battery slice uses the same connector, the dock connector, but the battery is not designed to fit the M6500. There are attachments and release devices that will not work with it. I guess you could always just plug the battery onto the connector on the bottom of the notebook but it was not design for it and technically there is nothing to hold it on there.

3DsMax and Adobe CS are color managed applications. Color should be displayed correctly when working in these applications (assuming your color settings within the applications are correct). I don't know whether Revit is color managed or not. Your colors displayed on your windows desktop and in non-color managed applications will look too saturated.

Our old system of defining color as a simple 8-bit RGB value worked well when all monitors displayed a "standard" sRGB gamut. Now that we have monitors with wildly varying gamut capabilities, our software and understanding of color managment will have to catch up so that we learn to tag the simple 8-bit RGB definition with an appropriate color space. Once we get there (Windows 8 maybe? :) ) things will be much easier again.

Just to throw another variable in - the FX3800M can operate at 10 bits. So does the U2410 over displayport. Too bad there is no easy way to take advantage of this.
