I will be Ordering the E-View Laptop Stand with my M6500, but it doesn’t state
will this supports two displays or not.

Or should I just order E/Port Plus 210W Port Replicator for Dell Precision M6400/ M6500 Mobile WorkStations.
And we Need the 210W/240W Power Supply for the M6500 and two 24" or 30" displays.

Looks like you need to order both. Under highlights for the stand "Port replicator sold separately"

The E-Port Plus for M6400/M6500 comes with the large 210/240 brick.

    That's what I thought.

How will that work, put the my M6500 on the E-View Laptop Stand and
then plug the E/Port Plus 210W Port Replicator into the M6500 and then plug the
U2410 into the E/Port Plus 210W Port Replicator.

Or just get the E/Port Plus 210W Port Replicator and cell it good.

Now we are getting a little carried away with this. lol

Why is there no easy way to take advantage of this? What is preventing you from using 10 bit color in applications like Photoshop? Windows 7 now supports 10-bit color, so it seems like we now have all the "links in the chain" to make this work. Application, OS, video card, display port connectors and your external monitor should all be able to use 10-bit color. Why doesn't it work?

Question on the SSD RAID 0 discussion. I am planning on getting my M6500 with 2 SSD's RAID 0. It's been stated on this thread that Windows 7 has yet to support TRIM command when SSD's are in a RAID 0 array.

Just saw this post on a new Sony Vaio shipped end of March with Quad SSD's in a RAID 0 configuration.

    http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=17445

Pretty slick for an ultra mobile. Any thoughts on this? Would it be a bad decision to have get 2 SSD's RAID 0 for Windows 7?

I currently have a Eurocom D900F laptop w/ a W5590 Xeon and 4 SSD's RAID 0 running Windows 2008 R2. This thing really smokes any laptop I've seen. Faster than most my servers. BUT it's also like 15 pounds.

I don't see the need for the stand, just get the dock. My 2 cents.

The stand makes it look more 'over the top' which I think is what this thread is all about....lol
