understood, thank you. I use much the same kind of thing with my current HP. so it seems I probably shouldn't trust much of what the dell online help person told me :( . Would the battery slice for the M6500 be something like this http://www.upgrademaster.com/li-ion-battery-75267/part_number/GN752.html? I am assuming that M6400 battery will be compatible with M6500?
its a shame the dell M6500 configuration page doesn't give any options on this.

    I can answer number 3.

The RGB backlight is really designed for those doing video, photo or projects where color accuracy is important. And even with the RGB you still need to calibrate the display to get the accuracy.

So, trutfully if you dont need to have a color profiled display you won't miss the RGB backlight over the white LED.

Also I would also stress that those who buy the RGB screen and dont calibrate it are wasting it much like having a higher end projector or any display.

That's also my question. Very interesting and useful to find about it.

Sorry but the battery slice does not work with the M6500. There is only 1 battery available for the M6500. You can purchase a second one and swap them out but no battery slice.

Gobi support will be coming soon to the EU, and the rest of the world. The Gobi card can be added later if you wish, all the antenna are included in the system. The SIM card slot is under the battery compartment.
The Bluetooth module on the M6500 is not the same as the one used on previous generations of Dell notebooks. The BT module is located under the LCD bezel. The WPAN slot is for the UWB module only. BT is 100% on all Covet M6500's. The service manuals are being updated to show the correct part.

Does anyone know if the displayport will support the new 1.2 spec possibly. If any laptop could benefit for the ability to daisy-chain 2 30" screens and the usb devices off one port its this beast.
