Anyone here knows how to contact rahasyavadi? Was arranging to get the Dell nVIDIA Quadro 5000M from him but it got delayed as he was in the midst of moving places.

Have not heard from him since then and has not seen him logging into the forum as well.

Don't worry, nothing changed hands yet. :)

    your memory maybe the problem,

try swapping memory module positions and try single chips one at a time in the different slots, if possible.

thanks and yea i found out that it was the ddr3 @1600mhz doesn't work with either the i5-520m or bios revision A02 cause i brought a 1gb ddr3 1333mhz

And for video card problem the M7740 and M7820 works with the samsung LTN170CT08-D01 0J501T (RGB 1200p) and works great best picture even better then my old hp 8530w with rgb 1200p

the m7820 isn't supported till A04 bios revision says unknown gpu with A02 and no dell loading [memory scaning] screen thats with the M7740 on the m6500

but i also have 2 other problems is updating the bios with out the battery i gotten past the in windows restriction but the bios always stop me

and my i5-520m isnt performing as it should [possible reasons are] bios is saying processor micro code failed update/ isn't supported and little thermal paste on the die and no battery and the charger is generic off ebay for 8 dollars with no watt output info

so does anyone know how to update the bios without the battery [till i get one]

and also i manage to fit my old full height wlan card working in the wwan slot (intel 4965AG wireless wifi adapter)

but after all the problems i had building this m6500 its pretty good especially under 400$ mark with a RGB 1200p,1TB HDD and m7820 able to be flashed to mobility HD 5870

Hello you all. This is my first post on here so bear with me. I recently got a good deal on a Dell M6500 with a 250 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD, i7 920XM quad core processor and ATI 7820 Firepro GPU for $700.00. The model screen that it came with is a 1920 X 1200P Ultrasharp WLED WUXGA Anti-Glare screen. I know there is a 1920 X 1200P RGBLED WUXGA Anti- Glare screen equipped with some Dell M6500's that provides a higher color gamut which includes 100 % of the Adobe RGB color space. According to the reviews, the RGBLED screens are better, but I was just wondering if the 1920 X 1200P Ultrasharp WLED WUXGA screen I have covers close to 100 % of the SRGB color space since that is the standard profile most people work in for photography and video? In addition, does anybody know if the 1920 X 1200P Ultrasharp WLED WUXGA screens covers 72 % NTSC color gamut since to my understanding, 72% NTSC color gamut covers 100% of SRGB? Based on some other information I gathered, I heard the lowest end screen you can get for the Dell M6500 is the 1400 X 900P WXGA LED screen that covers 40% NTSC color gamut. Can anybody confirm this and correct me if I'm wrong about the color gamut of the these three screen types for the Dell M6500? I do have a Spyder 3 color calibrator device that I use to calibrate my monitors. The 1900 X 1200P screen is a big step up from 1400 X 900 and is a great resolution for photo editing. Also, I know TN panels don't compare to high end IPS panels but I heard that both the WUXGA anti-glare models have pretty good viewing angles for a TN panel. I really wanted to get a HP Dreamcolor 2 IPS display laptop but too expensive for me. This model is perfect since it has the i7 920XM processor which I have overclocked to a stable 3.8 GHZ with my Zalmann NC 2000 cooling pad and dual laptop heat radiators for the two air vents in the back but I just want to feel reassured that the 1920 X 1200P Ultrasharp WLED WUXGA screen covers close to 100% of the SRGB space. Any info is greatly appreciated since I can't find much on the net about the color gamut of the Ultrasharp 1920 X 1200P WLED WUXGA displays. Many thanks in advance to owners of the Dell M6500 with the same Ultrasharp WLED WUXGA screen who chime in and give their input on this.
