Yes, I got that. But if it is in a folder structure that is an EXACT copy of the one on your hard drive, you can use this tool, and it will tell you WHICH files are duplicate, and which are not. It has that feature.

If it is different what you are looking for, please clarify the scenario in which you would use the tool you need.

Right. Not a feature I have used much. This looks like it could do it, but have not installed it, though.

I bought it before I finished reading through the complete thread here, otherwise I'd have done a few things differently. Even so, I think I got a good deal at €3.252,00.

I removed the RAID setup and replaced the first HDD with a Vertex 2 Extended 120 GB SSD. Also changed to AHCI in the BIOS, which currently is A02. Doing a clean install at the moment.

My next step will be to check out the Dell website for newer versions of drivers, BIOS etc. and install those. I believe I read here that there's a new version of the BIOS out.

The machine will be primarly be used for web design and programming, some photo and video work and the usual normal computer stuff. It's a replacement for my Lenovo 3000 N200 who has been slowly dying.

In the future, I might spring for more memory.

Pretty sweet machine, Sir! I glanced at the BluRay drive, but the upgrade was just too expensive here (750 USD (4500 DKK in my country) )

For your needs it looks to be more than ample :D

*looks forward to being able to frantically reload his order status every 15 minutes again on monday*

Thank you and indeed, MORE then ample. I decided on the bluRay drive because I thought if I was going to be putting this amount of cash down, I might as well go all out.

Secondly, my current standalone DVD player is showing its age, choking on several original DVDs and I don't want to buy a standalone BluRay player yet, seeing as I will be moving to a newly build apartment next year. Since I'm planning on completely overhauling my AVR setup, I thought it'd be smarter to wait until then. In the meantime, I've got this one ;)

Good luck with yours. Mine was shipped with only a week's delay, originally it would be here on 11 June, became the 18th so I guess I'm lucky.

Makes sense -- and if you get a projector or flatpanel monitor with HDMI, you'll get a fantastic BluRay player just by plugging one cable (sound over HDMI, too, of course).

Hehe one week late, lucky indeed. This is my third laptop being ordered from Dell since January, and I have been rather unlucky with delivery times. My M4400 took ~6 weeks, and the M6500 took roughly 5 weeks. Hoping this M6500 covet will arrive on schedule for once ;)

I passed on the option because of the price, too... and I've been kind of regretting it since. Good choice. I've heard differing reports about the drive's bluray burning capability... as to whether or not it's a dual layer capable burner. Would be interesting to know once you get it.

Also be interesting to know if the drive can be purchased separately...
