Newegg. They carry Crucial's own stuff cheaper than that and others for decent prices.

Well I did my Win7 reinstall and everything is running great. A few questions :

Is there any reason I should install Dell ControlPoint ? I'm running without it now and things are dandy so I'm inclined not to.

What's the concensus on MS AHCI driver vs. Intel AHCI driver ? I'm running the MS standard driver so again loathe to switch to Intel's unless there's a good reason.

Good question...I run everything except Dell Connection Manager which I uninstalled when I heard DELL was shipping without it (true across the board?). I basically just use it for keyboard lighting, and FP Reader I think...how about everyone else?

    Same.

Do you still have visual feedback using Fn keys in the lower left when switching brightness/adjusting volume?

anyone know why my bluetooth light never shuts off? My bluetooth module works wonderfully, but the light never turns off, regardless of whether I turn off the hardware switch or disable the adapter in windows or both. Thanks.

same here. My laptop arrived with XP Pro preinstalled and it was the same. I've since formated and installed windows 7 64 ultimate and the light is still on. In fact it was on during the formatting and install before the OS and drivers were installed too. So it is not driver or OS issue. Not sure what the deal is with it.

    Aye, I was. ;)

Seems that for some reason, even though the Dell Control Point System Manager service starts, points at the right path ("C:\Program Files\Dell\Dell ControlPoint\System Manager\DCPSysMgrSvc.exe"), and the event Logger isn't indicating any errors, the on screen display button feedback isn't working for me unless I execute that .exe manually after killing the service.
