the chipset this uses is pretty much the same chipset that intels uses on its top of the line desktop boards

it will put out almost the same I/O numbers that any number of review sites have shown , it will easily handle disks that are still within sata 2 speeds

im more worried about the newer disks based on sata3 which can saturate sata2 buses

That's great but if they want _me_ to buy one, they're gonna have to pony up a U.S. coupon :_)
That's just a real high pricetag on that....I can get a loaded up W700 pretty cheap (relatively) now but with yesterday's hardware and have enough money left over to buy my son a decent gaming laptop.

Well if you want to look at some real life statistics from an i7 quad core with 1066 and 1333 mhz RAM look at this:

    http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=8845274&postcount=24

From my calculations the increase in speed is 20% exactly on the 64bit memory geekbench benchmark test and 2% on the 64bit geekbench overall test. They mention later on in that thread that the overall increase was 2% to 5% but their numbers don't back up their tough talk. Maybe they are refering to sub-categories in the overall test. The 32bit test was really terrible so probably they were running 32bit tests on a 64bit OS. Everyone knows that is slow...

I admit I would hope for a 25% increase on the memory test but what the heck. 5% gets lost somewhere. 2% on an overall test is nothing to laugh at either I think... Ok, it was a Mac  they tested on so nobody is perfect

Guys, I have couple questions. I'm thinking about ordering a M6500. This is a big buy for me so I want to be able to configure it best as possible. Any input would be appreciated

    1) What exactly is 210W/240W switchable Slim? I noticed alot of u guys ordering this instead of the standard 210W adapter.

    2) What's the difference between the standard M6500 and Energy Star? Is it worth getting it?

    3) I'm thinking about ordering dual SSD. 128GB for the hard drive and 256gb for storage. Would it be ok to get a 500GB 7200rpm instead of the SSD for 2nd drive? I've heard the SSD as main hard drive noticeably increases the speed.

    4) 8.0GB, DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM, 4 DIMMS is my pick for the ram. Is this the best buy for it's value? or would the 1600MHZ for $259 show drastic difference.

Again, i'll appreciate any help!! Thanks guys

Its literally a smaller version of the power adapter. The 240 watt adapter is the same size as the one that comes with the XPS1730. The standard adapter also comes with the E-Dock.

I will post pics of each as soon as my M6500 arrives.
