    @Eurocom Support
    is that P3000 standard or max-q?
    P3000 standard is better IMO

    MAX-Q is on-board GPU non upgradeable. P3000 that we are going to test is MXM 3.0b so it is modular and upgradeable - we support in Tornado F5 close to 20 different GPUs.

    Have to agree... looks like I'm going to have to save for a GPU in November ^^

    Just think... a 1080 in a 3-4 year old laptop?

    Contact me if you would like to have tests ran in the M18x R2, Alienware 18, and M15x.

    Similarly with a p751zm haha.

    But seriously though, are the eurocom discounts just for computers or would they work on a chip?

    This will be really awesome. Based on the ability of the small 1080 in the Tornado F5 this should be reasonable. It performs nearly as well (within about 1%-2% even with a massive overclock) as the huge Clevo 1080 that does have an external power source. With a @Prema vBIOS it has no problem managing 200W through the MXM slot.

    I am excited about this and hope it breathes new life in to P870DM-G and P570WM upgrades. Those machines are far too young and awesome to deserve a premature death for no legitimate reason other than no new 1080 GPUs will fit in them.

    Will this 1080 support SLI, or will it be missing the SLI connector like the Tornado F5 1080?

    Do we anticipate the pricing to be realistic, or severely inflated like current 1080 notebook GPU prices? I am hoping the pricing would at least be consistent with what we saw with 980M. $1200 per GPU is pretty steep.

    I imagined they would be inflated... but perhaps eurocom can give us a nice surprise. $800 for a 1080 would be phenomenal for me. As it stands, may have to settle for a 1070

    I'm hoping the 1080 will be compatible with the AW18 - defiantely following this thread. Even if it doesn't support sli, it still has great potential and will breath new life into such machines.
