    Hi Guys!

I have an M6800 with nvidia k3100m graphics. They replaced my motherboard and graphics card to fix a freezing problem, but now, when my graphics fan starts to spin there is a slight mechanical like sound for a brief moment as it starts to spin. I cannot remember this ever happening before with the old fan, and the CPU fan is silent when it starts to spin from being still.

They repalced the fan, but same noise, now they are going to replace the mother board again.

Can anyone with a nvidia card confirm that the fan silently starts to spin? it is not the sound of moving air, but a brief almost grinding sound for perhaps half a second as it begins to spin?

    Many thanks!!!
    Rob

Hello guys - I'm soon getting M6800 as a system swap for M6600 that was plaggued by incompetent techs who did more harm than good :)

So my question: Does the machine come with 3 antenas preinstalled or just two? I'm getting regular version, not wigig.

I'm also interested to know if anyone is putting a Maxwell 980m into an M6800.

I gather from the thread that Kepler 780m is fine but Kepler 880m might have issues? Do correct me though, as i'm getting an M6800 to replace my M6500.

^ I would like to know this too.

One last question for all you helpful people: How can you tell wattage pulled? I have read a few times in this thread about people finding how much current their laptop is pulling at any given time, but I can't find anything like that in power settings or Dell Power Manager. I'm running Windows 7 Professional.

I bought a refurbished M6800 from an ebay reseller and it seems to work fine except I can't remove the battery. The release won't budge. The seller says I should transfer the warranty and then get Dell to come and fix it. Does anyone have experience with this? Will Dell cover this under the NBD warranty? advTHANKSance
