The card is going to be used for other tasks.
Do you guys know any repair shops either in the States or EU where to send mxm cards for repair?
    Thanks a lot.

Has anyone tried a 4k screen from the 7710? I have an m3000m and EDP motherboard. Will it work?

I saw a friend dropped a 4k auscreen into a m6700.. however it wasn't igzo and was too dark...

The mounting pattern for the LCD's are not the same. The m6800 has brackets that screw into the left and right sides of the panel. The 7710/7720 panels have four tabs on the corners of the top and bottom sides that screw into the top cover of the laptop. Maybe if you MacGyver'd something together the eDP interface might work...

You know what the brightness/nit would be? Also, I think I may get it to to fit... I wonder if the digitzer would work? Looking forward to trying.

Do you happpen to know the part number / screen model that would work? I would even like to now if the 7720 is any different/better ?

My guess is, the digitizer will be separately connected to an internal USB port (at least in the 7710/7720), most likely (but i could be wrong).

yes, it is. I guess the digitizer function should be indepentant of screen resolution... right now I am concened about the controller board/bottom trim... it seems the 7710 bottom bezel is much thicker than the m6800

I'm not sure on any of those, sorry. I looked into it initially when the 7710 came out but when I found out that the panel was a different form factor I stopped investigating. I would assume that the nits would be close to whatever the reviews say, unless the m6800 isn't fully compatible with the panel you want to put in. According to notebookcheck reviews the 4k igzo panels are usually somewhere around 270 nits, at least for the 7510. The 7710 should be similar.

    Hi folks.
Did anybody try to fit an Nvidia Tesla M6 into our M6800?
If so....does it run without any mods besides the heatsink?.What about cooling?
    Thanks

Does that Tesla M6 have any actual (usable) display outputs? Can't see any mention of that in the product info on nVidia's site.

The Tesla M6 is an mxm 3.1 card used in servers.
    It was launched in 2014.
Having a coffee today with my IT manager I found out that they are getting rid of 2 servers running this card.
That is why I thought about to try it on the m6800.
