M6600 Owners Thread

    On 8.1 (RTM) for a week now, using all the same driver from 8.0 and no problem so far.

    Though I don't have finger print reader on mine.

    Windows 8.1 installed without a hitch on my machine. Note, though, that screen brightness stops working after install. I presume I will have to re-install the old driver to get it working again.

    With amd, i need to use a pretty old driver.(even on windows 8)

    Newest nvidia work out of box though.

    Yes, A15 is fine. Although the Windows installer works 98% of the time, I just boot to an old USB 2.0 flash drive that I devote to BIOS flashing. This has a Windows 98 DOS boot image that gives me a clean and true DOS environment to flash in.

    How is the fan / fan table on A15? Still as well behaved as A14?

    Dunno about videos, but there are full instructions with pictures in the manual which is available at support.dell.com.
