I know you have to have the Bios SATA operation in AHCI or Raid mode for eSata to work.

It's SATA, but it needs to be as I have 2x 750GB in RAID0. Should I switch to AHCI?

It should work in RAID mode.

If you have the eSata drive plugged in - and hit CNTRL-I at boot - Do you see the drive listed in the Intel Raid Management Software?

Sure it should, and I badly need it to work for my high bitrate source videos editing... And no, it's not listed.

Oh, and of course the eSATA port is enabled in BIOS. Could be a limitation (RAID vs. eSATA). or just a bug?

Will do the serious benchmarking later. For the gamers who wonder what the Quadro 4000M is capable of:

    3D Mark 11 -
    3DMark Score
    P3164
    Graphics Score
    2885
    Physics Score
    6661
    Combined Score
    2979

    3D Mark 06 -
    20480

Full disclosure - the stock clocks on the 4000m are VERY conservative. I am using riva tuner to set them the same as a geforce card. Video card temps are hitting 69c which is nothing for an Nvidia card. Will post details on this info later as well.

Rep given, I was waiting for this results. It would be intresting to see 3dmark vantage. But from this it seems it's about par with m8900. Which is good if someone needs battery time.

Thx. This result makes me think about choosing quadro 4000 instead of the firepro. 5-6 hours of battery life is tempting.
