They were offering a 30% discount on the laptop (on the MRP; not on the already discounted price) a few days back, i'm not sure about now.

Yep, that code is 30%. The system I save is just like yours, only with 2gb of ram (I buy 3 more 2 gb rams myself if I buy the m6600), but with 3g modem. Came out 1936,9 dollars (830,1 off).

that's quite cheap compared to mine. I paid 2500$ (+4% vat) for it as I bought it from India (they only provide 4gb or more ram here).
But I'm happy with my purchase. Nice laptop and worth the price (just wished it had a better screen; 1920 x 1200 would have been great but i'm fine with FHD as well, as i'm planning to use a monitor.)

Yep, just adding my 2 cents so people can see that it's not just one isolated experience.

Very good advice that I didn't use on my first chat session...

Just got my M6600 -- have a couple of quick questions. I have the backlit keyboard but find it has way more give and flex than I'm used to -- are the non-backlit keyboards more rigid? Also, I'm trying to create recovery media and Dell's documentation keeps pointing me to "Dell Backup and Recovery Manager", but I can't find any such a program in my factory install. Are they using something else now?
