This blows. Now Dell has a coupon for the M6600 after I've ordered.

Anything think there's a chance of applying a coupon after the order has been made?

A few weeks ago I desided to buy a new laptop (and I need a quite powerfull one), but couldnt choose which one. Well... just ordered M6600 from Fortnax(Aikimox). Honestly called to check prices only and to get some opinion on mobile workstations, but couldn't resist nice discount. Hope Dell as good as Aikimox told me.

^^ Doesn't hurt to try. Depending on the status of your order it may or may not get delayed. Give it a shot :)

    Thanks.

There's been some great discussion in this thread on what's in the box... and I don't want to detract from that but... being the "M6600 Owners Thread" I'm curious about what you all use to carry your machines around !

My Asus came with a really great backpack... has more pockets than I remember half the time lol... but very convenient for my needs.
Although that was my first and only backpack... I am still shopping for the "right" bag for my M6600.
I've looked on the net, but its just not the same as being able to see and touch it before buying it.
The M6600 is a special purchase for me... I think it should have a worthy bag ! But.. it also must be practical for carrying and for carrying more than just the laptop.

What do you use to lug your monster laptops around ???

Care to tell me about your bag?

I just got off the phone with my rep. The 30% coupon wasn't really a big deal. It doesn't stack with the x amount off that is listed on the Dell site, it replaces it. So, if your rep gave you a discount over the phone (the reason why all of us call in orders) you are getting around 30% off probably... I would still get $50 more off by using the coupon.

The Quadro upgrade on the other hand, which I ordered, is $300. Between the coupon, Quadro, and less taxes I'd save $400.91 by canceling and reordering.

My EDD is in five days, and it's not ready to ship, so it's getting delayed anyway by some time. He also said the only way to apply for an expedite order is to pay for next business day shipping, which was $69.

The other option is to complain to customer care if you've already received one, and they can give you ~$75 off by not sending it back. And now they've got a $3k refurbished workstation. I'd be happy with another year of basic/accidental coverage, but I somehow doubt they would do that.

    Hello. Just to clarify...

Not trying to start a 'carrying case' discussion.
I'm just curious what others use.

I'm currently without a case for my M6600 but an leaning toward:
M.A.S.K. KOA GAMER Bundle by SLAPPA

I use the SPYDER 17" Laptop Backpack - Graphite. Awesome bag.

I also used the Targus XL which was more than adequate but not a Slappa ;)

I ordered an Alienware Orion backpack a few days ago and I'm still waiting for the m6600 to be delivered. Iv seen some people putting the 18.4" Alien in it so I guess there wont be any problems for my m6600 to fit in. I also noticed a lot of complains about the weight of the m6600 and mobility... I mean come on people are we boys or are we girls...

Thanks guys... so far backpacks seem to be the main choice.
