Guys, what are the Lite-on SSD's that are stock in these systems like? Are they ok or should one pay the extra to go for an intel?

The tech came out yesterday to replace the touch screen on the M6600 that is faulty. He seemed rushed. It went downhill from there.
To my surprise, he used metal screwdrivers to pry certain pieces here and there. When he got the panel removed, he rested the edge that had metal pieces directly on the keyboard and on the plastic trim above the keyboard to remove some screws. I tried to stop him, but it was too late.
Of course, sharp metal caused scratches on the plastic trim above the keyboard. I pointed that out to him, and he said, “Did I cause those scratches?” This M6600 was a new one from the outlet, in mint shape with the clear protector over the Dell emblem, so yeah dude, you put the scratches there .
He offered to move the Intel CPU and Windows stickers from the palm rest to the plastic bezel to hide the scratches. I declined. He said if he had his dremel tool, he would polish them out. Huh? That would not work. He also said he used windex to clean screens. Huh? Windex?

    Not a good day.

Wow what an idiot. Call Dell and complain and have those parts replaced. Then contact the company the tech works for and file a complaint as well. Too many of these crappy techs out there that should be flipping burgers instead of being anywhere near an expensive computer.

Where I work I'm the Sys Admin and I've had to have Dell tech's come in form time to time to replace broken laptop parts under warranty and I can never be in the same room with them to watch them work for these exact reasons.

Clarify if you could what exactly was replaced

Did he replace the whole assembly as in the auo panel and ntrig touch component or only the touch component

If its the latter meaning only the touch then it seems possible that a custom touch IPS could work

and I am wondering if IPS touch will ever be a factory option in the future
