WOW that's pretty good going. Only 2 days and I got a BSOD. I notice that there is no Dell Download Center software installed or available for the M6600, not that it is a problem, but there are a plethora of drivers and I am slightly confused. Did I get any documentation with this machine i.e. is it pre-installed?, as the User Manual is just a stripdown manual. I need to identify the contents of my machine as I do not know what chipset drivers (or many others for that matter) etc to upgrade. Orrrr do I use something like Piriform Speccy?
One other important issue to me. Do I download my Nvidia Quadro 3000M drivers from Nvidia or Dell or doesn't it make any difference. I always use to go for Nvidia as they were usually newer than Dell.

Mine wont boot any more. It shows a black screen after dell logo on boot.

Does anyone know how to contact a dell technician?

Are you using an SSD? I had this problem with an 128 OCZ Vertex 2. I had several BSOD and contacted the company. They said that whenever you use SSDs you must keep the SSD Bios up to date. I did this and it was fine for a couple of days and then "Black screen" and nothing. I changed it for a Corsair as advised and fine up to now. I used Acronis to backup an image of the SSD to the internal 1TB drive. With my new M6600 I have a 1TB backup in the Primary and boot from the Sec drive. I scrapped Acronis and use the new Paragon.

If you can get to a working system, go to dell.com and click on the chat system under support. For me the chat system seems to work better.

Make sure to have your service tag.

Sorry to say it, but it looks like you got a defective system.

The good thing is that they will either fix it for you or replace it with a system that has equal or better parts.

    Thanks Bokeh,

The computer has a 33% chance of booting, 67% of the time it hangs after the dell logo. Can't get to the BIOS settings, boot options even, when it boots to the black screen so Im definitely thinking its not a Windows issue. I reinstalled Windows and nothing has changed.

Also it passed all the thorough test diags, so I really have no idea what is wrong.

Just a thought, you haven't just installed the MS Office WINDOWS update. This can cause a black screen for up to 30 mins even on a fast machine and if you are not patient and hit the power off it can corrupt drivers. The update is around 457MB and takes blinking ages.
