This new BIOS is awesome ! no more problem with my i7 2720QM BUT the best part is : you have really more better performance (see the point 5 on the change log).

For instance, if I execute my simulator (who is really cpu dependent) on the laptop I get 25FPS insteed of 22FPS with the A03 only with a bios update !

Please post your feedback about the A06. Do you get more performance to ?

I'm waiting for some more feedback before I flash to the A06 (sorry - my machine is mission-critical). In the meantime, I'd like to ask the following (somewhat related) question:

    - why would I need to upgrade to the "newest" Quadro drivers from Dell, if the original nVidia Verde is a higher version? Any special reason for not using the general, non manufacturer-specific, version?

I don't agree with that, it's marked on this order "CMO", ok, but this guy got an AUO panel... so, this isn't good too ;)

haha, lol, I meant "my wife's"

In Italy, people still get one wife (provided you're not prime minister...).

Anyway, my wife bullies me because she knows how much I spent for the M6600+accessories AND I still got a crappier lcd than hers.

I'm not a screen expert, but to me, the white and light-colored backgrounds look greyish; if you "eye-zoom", you get the impression of this fuzzy, dirty grid of tiny red-green pixels.

I'm badly missing my excellent 24" DeLL 2405FPW (a fantastic PVA I left to my bro), and we all know how the Apple, the HPs, the Lenovo and even how the iPads look, so DeLL, please, change my low quality LCD as promised!

Note this is not trolling on a forum, because I first tried to reach DeLL privately and through conventional ways.

I'm on 2.09. I had the BSOD's w/o the SSD. I did see the 2.13 update, but I'm away from home, so have to wait to try it out.

Trying to get the debugging tools installed, so I can check out my dump logs.

I have an OCZ Vertex 3 (240GB), no issues with it.

First with firmware 2.11, and now, for a few days, 2.13

I just removed an AMD[ATI] M8900 and installed an NVidia GTX-485M in one of the M6600's here and I an testing it now. Here is what I have found:

    1. A6 BIOS shows - "video card unknown", but the proper video memory size, etc.

    2. A6 BIOS now allows the user to enable Optimus.

    3. Windows7 64bit will show Intel HD (3000) graphics and work fine at 1080p if Optimus is enabled.

    4. With Optimus OFF so the video card is enabled all the time, all NVidia and Dell drivers still cannot see the card or install any drivers. The 485M will only work in low resolution as a deafult "standard graphics card".

    5. However, HWinfo64 does see the 485M within Windows7 64bit and lists its properties fine.

So.... the lights are on but nobody is home in regards to the M6600 and the GTX-485M. It must be either the Dell BIOS or the card BIOS not playing nice, which is a big bummer.

I will continue to work on this. Any other input would be welcomed.
